OPEN DAY 2019

Students and their parents who are interested in their daughter attending Auckland Girls' in 2019 are warmly invited to our Open Day on Thursday 30 May at anytime between 9.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.   Senior students will lead tours of the school and the Principal will give short talks at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12 noon.  For those who can't make it during the day we will hold an Information Evening also on 30 May from 6.30 to 8 p.m.  If you are interested in attending the Information Evening please will you call 307 4180 and speak wiith Lilly, our Enrolment Officer, to register your interest, or e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. IN THE USA

38 students and four teachers are spending the April School Holidays on a History tip to the USA.  First stop was Washington DC where they visited the Whitehouse, the Smithsonian Institute, the largest research museum in the world, and they are also pictured below posing with the statue of Martin Luther King Jr.  On the agenda during their trip are visits to New York - highlights in New York will include visits to the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolian Museum and the 9/11 Memorial Museum.

Year 13 PE Hillary Outdoors Camp

During the course of a week long camp at the Hillary Outdoors Camp in Turangi  at the end of March, our Year 13 Physical Education students were challenged to complete various tasks, that were not only physically demanding, but also emotionally draining. For example, they did caving, and were asked to slip into tiny claustrophobic spaces in the dark and somehow work together to find a way out. All of this, after a full day of tramping through rugged terrain, and then only to sleep under a fly (a tent with no sides) leaving them exposed to the elements and as the girls discovered…possums chewing through their packs seeking out food!

Academic Celebration Assembly

We were delighted to welcome back our six scholarship winners from 2018 for our Academic Celebration Assembly - the girls are pictured above with their parents or the subect teachers of the subjects for which they won scholarships.  At the assembly our 200 Year 11 and 12 students who achieved their NCEA Level 1 and 2 Certificates endorsed with Merit or Excellence were also acknowledged for their achievements.
