We hosted our Founding Day Assembly and honoured three of our past students; Pippa Coom Corin Merrick and Alistar Kata. We also congratulated four current students with a scholarship.
Our first Founding Day was celebrated in 1992, when the school took up a suggestion from the Old Girls’ Association that each year we should honour some of our ‘Old Girls’ who have gone on to
make significant contributions to their community or in their field of work after they have
left school.
At the same time the Old Girls’ Association offered to provide a scholarship to senior students from each year level based on the criteria of achievement, service and all round contribution to school life.
Since 1992, several of the students who received Founding Day Awards while they were at school have returned to school to be honoured as high achieving adults.
