It was wonderful to celebrate academic achievement at our senior prizegiving on the 2nd of November, being unable due to covid to do this for 2 years.
The DWC was full of excited and proud students and whānau as well as many special guests including politicians, Old Girls’ and representatives from universities.
More than 150 Year 11, 12 and 13 students were recognised for Academic Excellence and 40 Year 13 students received grants or scholarships, many of them to support or pay for tertiary studies.
The top award at any Prize Giving is the Dux and Proxime Accessit, or runner up to the Dux.
This year the Proxime Accessit is Lynelle Mendonca, and the Dux is Husna Nazari. Congratulations to everyone.
